Below is the instruction for Epson CX7400 Printer, but you can use the same technique for CX5000, CX6000, Cx7000, CX7450, CX8400, CX9400f.

1, Press the change cartridge button where the red light indicates or check the printer user manual for information on how to change cartridge.

2. The cartridges carrier will move to the center of the printer and will indicate which cartridge needs to be reset or replaced by following the arrow located on your printer. This arrow, as shown on the picture below is indicating that the black needs attention. Then press the change cartridges button again.

3. At this time, the cartridges will move the change cartridges position.

4.. Lift up the cartridge about 1/4" inch or just enough for the chip contact to disconnect with the printer head carrier. Press the cartridge back into place. On some systems, it is better to lift all cartridges at the same time due to their connection.

5. Press the change cartridge button. The cartridge will reset back to full
